Welcome to Casa Marina Bahia on lovely Calle Playa Sur (literally translates to "Beach Street South") on the south section of Potrero Bay near the Flamingo Marina, Guanacaste, Costa Rica.
Hear the Pacific Ocean waves against the shore; Casa Marina Bahia is an official "Coastal Zone" property, which means within 50 meters of the Pacific Ocean in Costa Rica. Enjoy gorgeous sunsets over water, and all-day beautiful ocean views from the fabulous rooftop terrace. Take a dip or simply relax around your private pool. The classic Costa Rican Rancho in the front of the home serves as another area for outside get-togethers, outdoor dining, grilling, enjoying beverages and making memories — all within the private courtyard surrounding you.
Inside you can relax and enjoy generous personal space provided by Casa Marina Bahia's 4 bedrooms, including 2 Pacific Ocean facing bedrooms each with private balconies, a cool "loft" bedroom, a first level bedroom with a view facing the pool, and a large open living room, kitchen and dining area.

Playa Portrero is known for it's sand beach and absolutely stunning sunsets featuring silhouetted sailboats and yachts. Additionally, Native Costa Rican's know it as perhaps the best location to call your "home base" in all of Guanacaste Province, as it is centrally located to a collection of the most beautiful beaches and coastlines in Costa Rica including Playa Flamingo, Tamarindo Beach, Playa Conchal, Playa Penca, Playa Real and Danta Beach in Las Catalinas — all within a 5 minute (Playa Flamingo) to 35 minute (Tamarindo Beach) drive. It is also well positioned to the Marino Las Baulas National Park, which is home to nesting leatherback sea turtles, and also within easy driving distance of other popular destinations in the region, such as the Arenal Volcano and the Monteverde Cloud Forest.
Casa Marina Bahia is also just a 3 minute drive to it's namesake, the new $50 million world-class Flamingo Marina, which also calls Playa Potrero home. With 175 wet slips, restaurants and retail shops which the discriminating eye will know and appreciate, the Flamingo Marina will also soon offer an upscale hotel, a conference center, and luxury residences.
Casa Marina Bahia is also conveniently located directly between two lovely towns: Potrero, 5 minutes to the north, and Flamingo, 5 minutes to the south.
Potrero is a classic Costa Rican coastal enclave offering the authentic Pura Vida lifestyle with a family sailing center, supermarkets, local restaurants, breweries, fishing and other water activities such as paddle boarding and kayaking. Known for its local flavor, which reflects the unique blend of cultures and traditions that make up the town, the town is home to a mix of Costa Ricans, expats, and tourists, and this diversity is reflected in the food, music, and other aspects of local culture.
There are a number of local restaurants in Potrero that offer traditional Costa Rican cuisine, as well as international options. Many of these restaurants use fresh, local ingredients and feature open-air seating, making them a great place to relax and enjoy the laid-back atmosphere of the town.
Flamingo is known for its beautiful beach, Playa Flamingo, a long stretch of light sand and clear water, and a number of luxury resorts, restaurants, and other amenities. Despite its small size, Flamingo has a range of activities and attractions including water sports, horseback riding, and more. The town is also home to a number of golf courses, including the 18-hole course at Hacienda Pinilla Golf Club. Flamingo also features a number of spas and massage centers where visitors can pamper themselves, as well as a number of restaurants and bars serving a range of local and international cuisine.

Casa Marina Bahai islocated 45 minutesfrom theLIR airport via the "monkey trail", or 1 hour and 10 minutes via Route 21.Which to take?
The "monkey trail" is a nickname for a scenic, winding route that is 41 kilometers long and is known for being more adventurous than the alternative route, route 21 which is 65 km. The monkey trail generally offers a more exciting drive, including a traverse of a wide creek / steam, with the potential to see wildlife and beautiful landscapes along the way. It will be more challenging to navigate due to the winding and potentially rough terrain. You will want a 4WD vehicle for the monkey trail.
On the other hand, route 21 is a longer route that is 65 kilometers in length, but it is generally considered to be less adventurous and more straightforward to drive. It may be a more direct route with less twists and turns, and it is generally smoother and more developed than the monkey trail. It will also pass alongBrasilito Beach and the Flamingo Marina.
Ultimately, the choice between these two routes will depend on the preferences and comfort level of the traveller. Some people may enjoy the excitement and adventure of the monkey trail, while others may prefer the ease and reliability of route 21.
